Film Competition!
How It Works
​
Every year we run a special 3-week genre-focused course, followed by a short film shoot in Week 4.
You’ll build skills in that genre during the classes, then put them into action on set.
The TYPE Talent team will then edit the films and premiere them at our End-of-Year Awards Night — get dressed up and watch your work on the big screen at Bavarde Cabaret Bar!
The fee for each 4-week course is $160 per genre.You’re welcome to join more than one genre if you’d like to broaden your skills and participate in multiple films.
This is an amazing way to end the year on a high — learning, performing, and celebrating together!
Genre 1 – Mockumentary
Learn to create memorable, quirky characters that make the audience laugh. You’ll explore the craft of mockumentary, from performance style to camera interaction, to maximise comedic impact.

Genre 2 – Thriller
Slow down the pace, draw in the audience, and let them wonder what your character is thinking. This course focuses on cinematic performance techniques that build tension and depth on screen.
