The Industry Acting Intensive teaches skills in all elements of performance:

  • STAGE - Movement, blocking and vocal delivery, and taking direction and collaborating to bring a director’s vision to life 

  • SCREEN - Framing, micro-expression control and working with lighting, with an emphasis on building instincts to succeed under the time-pressure of a commercial set 

  • SCRIPT ANALYSIS - Study a range of approaches to keep your script and character interpretation fresh and inspired 

  • SHAKESPEARE - Gain appreciation for the iconic playwright and master this performance style with guidance from Tony Knight (previous Head of Acting at NIDA, coach to Cate Blanchett and Sam Worthington)

  • STAND-UP COMEDY - Top Adelaide entertainer Michael Wilkop shares secrets for success in entertainment and comedy presentation for live stage 

  • VOICEOVER - Fresh 92.7’s Marty Haros will mentor you to give your best vocal performance in the booth - build your skills in this fast-growing performance niche

COURSE INFORMATION

Term begins in April 2022, date TBA

Weekly structure - 3 contact days per week:

  • 2 x 9 hour days

  • 1 x 6 hour day 

  • 24 hours of study per week over 22 weeks total (split into four terms, one week holiday in-between each)
